The story of
M. Andrew Patterson
Andrew was born in California on a now-decommissioned army base. He spent the next four years in Germany before moving to Kansas, where he has lived ever since. Coming from a long line of librarians, Andrew didn’t expect to continue the family trend. Instead, he earned his bachelor’s degree in Music Theory from the University of Kansas in 1997. During that time, he worked in the university library as a student. He discovered a love for old books and has been surrounded by dusty ancient tomes throughout his adult life.
After 20 years, he realized he wasn’t leaving the world of libraries and received his Masters in Library Science from Emporia State University in 2015. But life changed and Andrew took a leap into the real world and now works as a software developer.
When he’s not working or writing, Andrew enjoys gaming, reading, and occasional crafting. He lives in Olathe, KS, with his wife, their six children, two dogs, and a couple of cats. Life, as they say, is never boring.
